Wo Learning Champions Accomplishments

Since the first group of Wo Learning Champions began planning activities in January 2001, a number of events have been conducted for the benefit of faculty and staff in the University of Hawai‘i community colleges. The first of these was the Learning Assessment Workshop, conducted at Kapi‘olani Community College on February 18, 2002. In that same semester, the first Spring Seminar was conducted. In Spring 2003, Wes Teraoka, the Wo Learning Champion from Leeward CC, coordinated an Innovations Institute for the faculty on his campus.

The Wo Learning Champions coordinate professional development activities on a continuing basis.

Wo Innovations in Learning Day was held on all University of Hawai‘i Community Colleges, March 5, 2004.
