Grants

Many sources of external funding are available, including FIPSE (Funds for the Improvement of Post-Secondary Education, NSF (National Science Foundation), NEH (National Endowment for the Humanities) and SSRC (Social Sciences Research Council. A list of granting agencies has been compiled by the University of Hawai‘i community colleges office as well as by Honolulu Community College.

Grant writing is often a challenge, but online help is available. Most useful is the guide available through Non-Profit Guides, grant writing tools for non-profit organizations, which also includes links to granting agencies and other grantwriting resources.
